Cable & Wireless
Cable and Wireless is the leading telecommunications company in the West Indies, and furnishes land line and wireless communications throughout Jamaica. AFT’s contract was to survey the island’s cell/switch sites and to furnish detection/suppression systems. With over 40 sites, a variety of systems were installed, including FM 200 for the main switch rooms, detection and control for the office areas, and water mist systems for the generator rooms. The systems were designed to the same standard which made It easier for Cable and Wireless personnel to service the systems.

Palmyra Resort & Spa
AFT designed and furnished the fire alarm system for the new Palmyra Resort and Spa located in Montego Bay Jamaica. The resort includes three, twelve story towers, a Club House and a Spa. The fire alarm system includes a state of the art detection system, along with voice evacuation. The buildings are tied networked together in order to provide exact information to security for specific locations of alarms within any of the buildings. The resort is scheduled for completion in 2012. When completed, the resort will also include its own power generating plant, a first for Jamaica.
